Gyokuro is a fully flavored Japanese green tea that has a satisfying light and refreshing character. This tea is made from the single buds that are picked only in April through May. For 3 weeks in the early Spring, this tea is covered with bamboo and straw shades to increase chlorophyll. This reduces the tannin (giving a sweeter flavor with no bitterness). A pleasantly vegetative flavor with some briskness for each brew. 

Note: 4 oz. of loose tea serves 20-30 cups.
