Da Hong Pao, also known as Royal Red Robe, is one of the most prized oolong teas available. Legend has it that this tea helped rid the illness of an Emperor's mother. The Emperor was so grateful, he sent royal robes to the mountainside to protect the tea bushes. Produced from thousand year old bushes on the Wuyi Mountains in China, this tea was normally reserved for a king and his honored guests. This amber colored tea has a rich, toasted flavor with hints of stone fruit. Can be infused multiple times, each infusion providing a more mellow cup. Reserve this one for special occasions.
